Red Perch

Really dope atmosphere and excellent customer service. The owner explained the menu to us and was very patient as we ordered almost one of everything. Food was very well prepared and tasted as beautiful as it looked. Prices were also very affordable. My middle son has Autism and is a very picky eater. The owner offered to cook him chicken tenders (not listed on the menu) which was awesome and so my whole family got to enjoy a great meal together. Loved it here.

This was our first time eating here. We drove to Nashville just to try this seafood restaurant after I came across a post on Instagram. Absolutely loved all of the dishes here. I am not a big fan of ahi poke bowl in general but I loved the ahi poke here. My number one favorite was the calamari. The owner was super sweet and friendly. He also gave us recommendation on some good restaurants in town. Definitely gonna go back if I am in town again.

Red perch is a small quick service-style restaurant with some great seafood. Best Banh Mi that I’ve had in Nashville. But the fish and chips were just so-so. The men behind the counter greeted us as we came in and happily guided us through their small menu. We ordered the fish and chips as well as the soft shell crab Banh Mi (that was a special). Fantastic. The fish and chips, which seemed to be their marquee menu item, were just okay. The fries, which are usually an afterthought, we’re nice and crunchy. That was great. The coating was light. But there really wasn’t much of any flavor at all. We had to douse it in vinegar. And though most of the fish was well-fried, there were a couple of spots that were extremely greasy. But the Banh mi was by far the star of the show. Incredibly good, and what a unique filling! I would have never thought that soft shell crab would work that well as a sandwich protein. I’d come back for the Banh Mi for sure.

We went to Red Perch to get their fish & chips happy hour special. They had it advertised on their website as well as flyers hanging on the windows. I took a photo of the flyer to know what to order. The worker taking the order seemed like they were unaware of the happy hour special. We did order three orders of the fish & chips but it wasn't the price as advertised. Also, after we ordered, another worker took the flyers down. I'm not sure if this special is discontinued or not. The fish was fresh and you could taste that it was fresh. The cook to order so it's not sitting out waiting for someone to order. The meal was great! The only two complaints are the draft beer and seating. They offered a free pint with the special but they only have two light beers available. The seating is also very slim if you have more than two people. We did have to wait a while for a table for the four of us. (It was very cold/windy so sitting outside wasn't an option).

Very delicious!!!! So glad Nashville had a quick seafood spot. The calamari was cooked to perfection. I don’t think it needed the mayonnaise. Lumpia was the best I tasted in town. My son killed his cheeseburger and said it’s better than McDonald’s. I would go back for sure can’t wait to try something new. The atmosphere was clean.

Red Perch is an absolute gem in Nashville! It came as a word-of-mouth recommendation, and I couldn't be more grateful. From the moment I stepped in, the service was top-notch, making me feel like a valued guest. But what truly stole the show was their beer-battered fish and chips - hands down the best in the city! The happy hour specials are more than worth it and I can't wait to return.
